Elevation Individual and Family Therapy offers secure online therapy for children, teens, adults, couples, and families located throughout Illinois and Indiana.
Through scheduled video appointments, you can meet with a licensed therapist from the privacy and convenience of your home, office, or another appropriate location. Our therapists provide compassionate, culturally responsive care for concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, parenting concerns, life transitions, stress, ADHD, and more.
You do not have to live near our Homewood or Matteson offices to receive support from Elevation. To participate in telehealth, you must be physically located in a state where your therapist is licensed at the time of your appointment.
Ready to begin? Complete the registration form here.
Still have questions? Submit a brief inquiry, and a member of our team will contact you.
Online therapy—also called virtual therapy or telehealth—allows you to meet with a therapist through a secure video platform instead of traveling to an office.
Your virtual sessions are scheduled similarly to in-person appointments. At your appointment time, you will use a private link to connect with your therapist from a phone, tablet, or computer.
Online therapy provides the same opportunity to discuss your concerns, identify goals, learn coping strategies, improve relationships, and work toward meaningful change with a mental health professional.
Elevation uses a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform for virtual therapy sessions. However, clients should also take reasonable steps to protect their privacy.
We recommend:
Although a parked vehicle may occasionally provide privacy, it should be parked in a safe location, and the client should not begin driving during the session.
Elevation provides online therapy for eligible clients located throughout:
Our therapists may provide virtual counseling to clients across Illinois, including Chicago, the south suburbs, Cook County, Will County, Kankakee County, and other Illinois communities.
Virtual therapy may also be available to clients throughout Indiana when matched with an Elevation therapist who is licensed to practice in Indiana.
Your eligibility is based on where you are physically located during each appointment—not simply your permanent address. Therapist availability and state licensure requirements apply.
Our therapists work with clients experiencing a variety of mental health and relationship concerns, including:
Services and specialties vary by clinician.
Completing registration helps our team identify a therapist whose experience, availability, license, and insurance participation may align with your needs.
Virtual counseling may be a good option if you:
Online therapy can make treatment more accessible, but it is not the best option for every person or situation. Your therapist will help determine whether virtual care is clinically appropriate for your needs.
Depending on therapist availability, clinical appropriateness, age, location, and insurance coverage, Elevation may offer:
Private, one-on-one support for adults navigating emotional, behavioral, relationship, or life concerns.
Virtual counseling may be appropriate for some children and adolescents. The therapist will consider the child’s age, attention, communication needs, presenting concerns, privacy, access to technology, and ability to participate meaningfully online.
A parent or legal guardian may need to be available during some or all of the appointment.
Virtual couples counseling allows partners to attend from an appropriate private location while working on communication, conflict, trust, intimacy, co-parenting, and other relationship concerns.
Family members may participate in virtual sessions to address communication, family transitions, parenting concerns, conflict, boundaries, and relationship patterns.
Elevation may periodically offer virtual therapy groups, educational programs, or support groups. Topics and enrollment availability vary throughout the year.
Elevation accepts several commercial insurance plans, Illinois Medicaid and participating managed-care plans, select Employee Assistance Programs, and private-pay arrangements.
Plans currently accepted by Elevation may include:
Insurance participation varies by therapist, service, and state. Some insurance plans may have different rules for telehealth coverage. Benefits verification is not a guarantee that your insurance company will pay for services.
Our team will review your insurance information and therapist options as part of the registration process.
Online therapy may be a good fit if convenience, transportation, scheduling, or distance makes traveling to an office difficult. In-person therapy may be preferable if you have limited privacy at home, experience technology barriers, need a more structured environment, or would benefit clinically from meeting in the office.
Some services or clinical circumstances may require in-person care or a different level of treatment. Elevation does not provide emergency response, crisis stabilization, or inpatient services through telehealth.
If you are unsure which format is right for you, submit a brief inquiry, and a member of our team can explain the available options.
This brief form requests only your name, email address, and phone number. Please do not include private medical or mental health information.
